You probably never thought of this, but there are ridiculous advantages to walking with bare feet. These benefits are not limited to physical health, mental health, emotional, and even spiritual health.

In this modern age, we are used to covering our feet with plastic, rubber, or leather shoes. The soles of shoes are very inefficient conductors of heat and electricity and for this reason it disconnects the flow of energy through our bodies to the ground earth. It disconnects us from the wombs of mother earth.

Our feet connect us with the ground. They help us regulate body temperature, and discharge electricity into the earth.

#1 Walking with bare feet stimulates our brain.

When you walk with bare feet, your feet get to feel the ground at an intimate level. When your feet are covered with shoes, they don’t sense the ground and the texture as you would with bare feet. You feel the patterns, texture, stiffness of things, etc. This stimulates your sensory nerves.

#2 Reduce stress

We all understand the benefits of massage. Walking barefoot is like a massage on steroids just that you don’t pay anyone a dime for it.

This reduces tremendous stress because it takes you away from your daily concerns and worries and keeps your mind in the present moment.

#3 Discharge of unwanted or excessive energy to earth.

Walking on plastic and rubber stagnates the flow of temperature and electricity from your surroundings through your body, but by walking with bare feet we are able to simply allow electricity to flow through us and to the ground. This also allows the excessive energy in our bodies to discharge itself to the ground.

#4 Massaging your feet

According to acupressure, our feet are connected to all of our interior organs. When specific pressure points are pressed, we get benefits by releasing the blockage and irregular blood flow.

By walking barefoot, we naturally press these pressure points. We get massages naturally.

#5 Increasing your awareness.

By stimulating our sensory nerves, we are able to become more aware of our surroundings. For example, if there are tremors, you will become more aware of these vibrations. Your feet will learn to differentiate different textures, pressure, and material by just stepping on them. This increases your awareness and sense of being in the present moment.

#6 Connecting to the Source

There is no doubt that our bodies have some sort of electric current. The Chinese named these networks of energy meridians. It follows that this electromagnetic biofield in the human body needs to flow and circulate harmoniously.

This biofield has to connect with the exterior flow of energy as well. But it turns out we wear shoes that are very bad conductors of electricity and heat. But when you walk barefoot you are connecting yourself to the higher networks of this what Robert Sheldrick calls morphic field.

This brings a lot of information from that natural world, readjusts your neural networks, and has many other spiritual and mental benefits.
