Without motivation or inspiration, we end up moving around like a slug. We are always exhausted and lazy. You can’t get anything done if you’re not productive.

Here are a few techniques you can do to recharge your brain.

  • Meditation: Jump up and down, go around the world, the first thing everyone is going to tell you is to learn to meditate and meditate constantly. If you find yourself unable to discipline yourself join a local meditation group. Because this simple habit will transform your life in ways that you can’t imagine.
  • Music: If you never heard about this before, music makes wonders. Remember music is vibrations, therefore positive and energizing vibrations will energize you. Don’t listen to depressing and sad music, listen to uplifting music. Apart from energy music also transfers emotions. You will experience a change in the mood instantly if the tunes were created with positive and uplifted feelings. I have done an experiment when someone is moody and unmotivated, I come and play uplifting music to them, to my surprise they change instantly, they will even forget they were moody a second ago.
  • Change of environment: Sometimes the things that drain your energy are not you, but the people surrounding you and your environment. When this happens you find yourself always drained and unmotivated. If this happens change your scenery. If you are doing office work, take a brief walk. Get out to the library, beach, and so on. You will find yourself coming back with more energy to get your job done.
  • Small naps: A lot of people underappreciate brief naps and enough sleep. Remember our brains need rest to rebuild and recharge. If you did not get enough sleep, you will end up being groggy the whole day. On your lunch break, you can go to your vehicle and take a 15 minutes nap or if you are home you can take a short nap. I have found it to be rejuvenating and recharging most of the time I take afternoon naps.
  • Inspiration: Motivations and Inspirations are also forms of energy, where a lot of people don’t acknowledge the fact that the more inspirational stories you listen to the more they push you forward. Even in a time of need, you will find yourself not giving up because of what you feed your mind. On the contrary, people who listen and watch depressing stories will suck them dry. So, what you feed your mind is what it will give you back. Find motivational stories, art, movies, podcasts, and even other real-life events that will keep you with a positive attitude.
  • Breathing exercises: Breathing is directly connected to our subconscious mind. Breathing in a deep and rhythmic fashion brings harmony, and keeps our system in synchronization. So even one minute of conscious breathing can shift your moods and bring clarity of mind.
  • Eating fruits and vegetables: Sometimes our digestive system becomes clogged with animal fats, which makes our system inefficient to digest nutrients. By consuming lots of fruits and vegetables, it will help to clear out these intestinal clogs for us to feel active. Besides that, fruits have a vibrant taste which stimulates the creative part of the brain.

Those are a few things that you can do to recharge and rejuvenate yourself. We are creatures of habit. The more you integrate these simple techniques into your life, they will then become your second nature.
