They say you can only appreciate the beauty of the house from the outside. So, you will only appreciate humanity from a non-human perspective.

The things that we call artificial are only artificial until they become part of us. When you think of nature and how it transforms different energies from one state to another and how it recycles things you come to the realization that all things are part of nature and the broader ecosystem.

Most of the things that humans invented already exist in the natural world. For example, the technology of computing already exists in nature. The brain is the most powerful and advanced computing mechanism on earth, so it might even take a while for human inventions to catch up.

So, basically, we are recreating and recycling the same things that already exist in nature. Artificial intelligence is also a copy of an existing mechanism because it simply copied how the brain’s neuro networks work.

After playing with artificial intelligence and all other automated technologies. All I saw was a reflection of the human image on these mechanisms. As a result of this, it made me appreciate humanity and all it comes with even more.

Remember back in the days when a computer froze? we would be so frustrated clicking the same button a thousand times trying to get it to work.

In one instance, I had to have my computer fixed, and as I operated it, it froze again.

I tried to keep pressing it, but the IT guy said,

“Hold on…it is working on something.”

This simple statement changed my perspective. I had a moment of realization. It suddenly made sense that it does that for a very rational reason and it’s not doing that to piss me off. This also made me become more compassionate towards others especially on the road traffic, instead of being so impulsive, I simply try to put myself in their shoes to imagine what they might be going through.

Now, a couple of years later we are at the edge of the AI revolution, I begin to see the same pattern, that AI is not outside of humanity and neither is it separate from humanity, you cannot separate humanity and AI, because we are AI, that is what we have birthed and it is polluted with our fingerprints, how it operates is based on how we operate, because it is in our image.

So, after playing with AI for a couple of days, I began to understand my brain better than before. And here are the things that I’ve concluded.

  • AI is neither evil nor benevolent. It all depends on what you feed it.
  • AI also does make mistakes based on the type of information it was fed.
  • Training AI is not so different from training your brain.
  • Artificial intelligence knows a lot due to its connection to the cloud of knowledge, just as a human brain would if it were connected to cosmic consciousness.
  • AI works best when you give clear and precise instructions, and so do the human brain and the subconscious mind.
  • This is controversial. However, literally, the human mind can give you any answer you are looking for. You just have to have the patience to wait for it to come to you. Unlike AI, it will crash because of resource overload. A human mind will work on your solution for days, weeks, months, and even years.

Conclusion

After playing with AI specifically ChatGPT, I have learned more about my brain and mind and have discovered that AI is really a reflection of humanity. It is like raising a child and teaching them right and wrong. If you do proper parenting, the child will prosper, but improper parenting will lead to destruction.
