“The creation of something new is not accomplished by the intellect but by the play instinct acting from inner necessity. The creative mind plays with the objects it loves.”

~Carl Jung.

Intuition and dreams have the potential to be powerful sources of inspiration and problem-solving, but how can a person tap into these sources to solve everyday problems?

Here are a few techniques and ways to unlock the power of your intuition and dreams:

  1. Trust your instincts: Following your gut instincts and trusting your inner voice can allow your unconscious mind to surface new and creative solutions that you may not have considered before. Pay attention to your emotions, because your emotions can often be a clue to what your unconscious mind is trying to tell you. Paying attention to your emotional responses to situations can help you to better understand your intuitive insights and to act on them.
  2. Keep a dream journal: Recording your dreams as soon as you wake up can help you to better remember your dreams and to analyze them for potential insights or solutions to problems.
Take some time each day to reflect on your dreams and try to identify any themes or symbols that stand out. This can help you to better understand your unconscious mind and the messages it may be trying to send you.
I personally write my dreams every day and have been recording them for the last 7 years, the interesting thing is as I review them I see a pattern in them that I can easily decode these messages from dreams, some I have come to realize as warnings, some are answers to solutions and some a premonition.
  3. Practice mindfulness and relaxation techniques: Techniques such as meditation and yoga can help to clear the mind and allow space for intuition to emerge. As author and speaker Deepak Chopra said, “Intuition is really a sudden immersion of the soul into the universal current of life.
  4. Visualize a solution: Visualization involves creating a mental image of what you want to achieve or solve. It can be helpful to close your eyes and visualize a solution to a problem or the outcome you desire. This can help to tap into your unconscious mind and allow creative solutions to emerge.
  5. Take breaks: Stepping away from a problem or challenge and allowing your unconscious mind to work on it in the background can be an effective way to generate new ideas. As inventor and entrepreneur Thomas Edison said, “To have a great idea, have a lot of them.

By incorporating these techniques into your daily routine, you may find that you are able to access the power of your dreams and intuition more easily and use them to solve everyday problems with greater ease and success.
