Do non-religious people need to pray?

I Can Manifest anything I Want, why should I Pray?

After writing about the Huna prayer ritual, someone asked me what kind of prayer ritual I personally do. So, I promised to share it here.

But then, I realized there are many layers in prayer, and these layers need to be defined clearly before. Because it is imperative to agree on what a prayer is, we need to understand who we praying to, specifically talking about God and other deities, why should we pray to them or ask them for anything if we have direct power to do it on our own.

So, the first part of the series was to define what is God:

First of all, let’s define prayer. Depending on religious tradition or personal perspective, prayer is defined differently.

The general definition of prayer is:

— A genuine and sincere request to a higher spiritual power for a human need. By praying a person accepts that they need some help besides his own or from other members of his society.

In general, prayer could be addressed to anything with spiritual abilities beyond your own. This could be your ancestors, earthly spirits, deities, animal spirits, plant spirits, angels, spiritual guides, and many more.

So, here comes the question.

You already use visualization and imagination to manifest what you want. Why should you pray?

To answer this question, you have to look at it this way: in the spiritual realm, it is very similar to the physical world, the physical world is a reflection of the spiritual realm. There are countless invisible living beings. Your ancestors, angel guides, and countless other unseen divine beings surround you. They help you in many ways. In a way, you are a universe of many living beings.

For this reason, there are boundaries in each realm and each being specializes in different tasks.

Assume you have a broken vehicle, you can fix it yourself, however, at this time you need to go to work, and have no time to get it fixed, then you request assistance, you ask a mechanic to come and fix it, then later after it’s fixed you pay your dues and continue with your life.

It becomes appropriate to let the professionals take care of repairing the vehicle, even though you could have fixed it yourself.

Similarly, you can use visualization techniques to manifest what you want alright. However, maybe you manifested the lower or lesser compatible request of what you really need since you did it on your own. But once you let those with more wisdom and abilities than yourself do it for you, it is done more correctly than how you could have done it yourself.

This does not mean that you should abandon your meditation or visualization techniques for manifestation. Instead, it is hinting for you to integrate and allow higher wisdom and power into your manifestation process.

This is why people use words such as, God WillingIf it is the right time… Not how I want it but how it should be… People use these phrases because the reality is we are not Enlightened yet, nor are we saints; therefore, we know what we want, but do not necessarily know what we need. Therefore, if you allow Divine intervention, your manifestation will occur perfectly at the right time and place.

Your life is a prayer.

You attract what you hold dear in your heart. Most people do not pay attention to how they live their lives. Because a prayer is not only done when you have a set time to do it, but it is something that is ongoing. This also explains why sometimes when you try to manifest something, it doesn’t happen. This is because how you live prevents you from getting what you want.

If this is the case you should do self-reflection, by looking within yourself to see the contents of your heart and how you respond to different situations and ideas.
