It is common for not so ordinary people like me, to start talking to those without mouths, such as rocks, vehicles, houses, and plants.

It is common for plant whispers to start talking to those without mouths such as plants. I have a habit of verbally talking to my animals all the time. When it comes to communicating with plants, people will give you that judgmental ‘look’ to shut you down and interfere with your creative flow, but in my case, I was surrounded by someone who understood me deeply.

The gift from Mama Papaya

The Whispering Plants

Numerous studies, both scientific and anecdotal, have suggested that plants may perceive human intentions and emotions. One notable example involves a European farmer who played classical music to his grapevines.

A particularly intriguing experiment involved “dragon plants” connected to electrodes, essentially functioning as lie detectors. When the researcher contemplated burning one of the plants, the plant’s electrical activity indicated a state of fear. Through repeated trials, the researcher concluded that plants could indeed sense human emotions.

While I may not possess the scientific expertise to conduct such experiments, my personal experiences have led me to believe in the phenomenon. Patience and observation have been integral to my own journey, allowing me to uncover hidden truths.

The Observer Becomes the Observed.

About a month ago, I realized I am surrounded by plants, lots of them, some exotic some, not so exotic, the Mama papaya caught my attention, reminded me it is time, time to also become a scientist.

  • On August 29, I asked the Mama papaya if she could make three papayas ripe so I can indulge myself in her recipe, I asked for three papayas and asked if it can happen within 7 days.
  • On September 4th, I noticed two papayas ready for me to devour, this was the fifth day. You know what ego does to a man of my pride, I specifically asked within seven days, and three, not one. Or two or four but three, I was disappointed.
  • The same day September 4th, I specifically asked one of them big papaya to get ripe within three days, my ego is trying to prove something here.
  • The third day I came back disappointed, ready to scream out it doesn’t work, but then the taste of papaya was phenomenal. So, I had to suck it up and wait, wait to learn something from them.
  • On September 12, I could see the huge papaya getting ready to ripen. Then I asked for yet another one. Waiting and waiting for it and it Bailed on me.

So here is what I learned

Unlike humans, plants can see through your emotions and intentions. There is the practical part where in reality three huge papaya for two people is a little bit too much, one will go bad before it is consumed.

For this reason, there must be genuine and sincerity in my intentions. Because plants are sentient, they knew my intentions and most likely the outcome of what I wanted to do and chose to ignore me and played a sense of humor on me.

By perceiving my human emotions and intentions they understood me more than I knew myself. And realized my true intentions, which was not really about proving that they can hear what I asked but to take me to another level of realization about myself and them. They revealed to me more about myself than I could have known.

Ultimately, they also have something to say to you, they want you to learn something about them as well. I learned a lot about plants after reviewing and as I was writing my experience. Plants communicate telepathically, even when you are far away, they can send insights and feelings to represent a concept to you. Plants are also more spiritual, when I say spiritual, I mean they are purer and more connected to the Universal spirit than humans. Therefore, they have angelic and divine nature that humans.

This led me to discover that in the entire experience; as I was asking them for things at the same time, they were also talking to me; by doing things differently than how I asked, they surprised me with these gestures as a message.

Even though I requested three papayas, two ripen, and exceptional delicious than previous one, this was a gesture that, “We know what you need and not what you want”

I learned to let go of my ego, and if I really needed something, there shouldn’t be any hidden motives, as I was secretly seeking to prove something as an experiment to prove to the world that plants can hear people and be another famous someone. But that is not how they operate.

Do we ever say thank you for what plants provide to us?

It was also about saying thank you, and being grateful and respectful, instead of just commanding them and treating them like ‘plants’ expecting them to behave like humans.
